All About Kat.

A Very Awesome Mama

Hi I'm Kat, I've been married to my lovely husband Dexter for 18 years and we have 3 children Isaac 17, Annabelle 13 and Jacob 7. I am blessed to be able to watch these little humans grow ( that doesn't mean I haven't found parenting hard going at times). We also have a chilled little Cavachon dog, a grumpy cat and 5 Hens. I became an independent Doula to add to my skillset in addition to my early years and birth worker experience and skills.

Postnatal sessions.

Support. Listen. Care

I know just how challenging the early days can be. I offer support to help with baby care, breastfeeding (BFSW/BFC) and some extra mothers help. Getting breastfeeding off to the best start can be changeling, my support can really help you find your way. As well as my child care background & skills I carry up to date paediatric first aid. I'm not the best cook, but I'm fantastic with siblings & pets.

Birth debrief and emotional support can also be valuable at this time. Sometimes just having a non judgemental ear over a cup of tea is needed.

Post birth support can be a mix of face to face and online/phone. Please contact me for more information and to talk about the support you need.

What's app support packages are £10 a week.

"I picked Kat to be my Doula because she's incredibly friendly ,knowledgeable and calming. I have complete trust in her and she has a fantastic understanding of the emotions involved in becoming a mum."

Sally-Ann

"Having someone there to share the highs and lows with who could provide evidence and knowledgable support for anything that cropped up. During labour, having someone to be there to help with comfort measures and who knew my birth plan inside out was so valuable. After transferring to hospital, knowing that Kat was able to stay behind to make sure the house was tidy and previously agreed tasks such as changing my bedding helped for when we came home"

"Kat offers care and support like no other. She is approachable, warm and unbelievably knowledgeable and experienced in all things pregnancy, birth and the early years. Turn to Kat before you turn to Google. I’d recommend her, for any of her services, without hesitation. She makes a ruddy good brew too!

On the day of the birth itself you were just brilliant."

"I can’t recommend Kat enough!! Me an my partner had two private sessions with Kat on getting prepared for labour and the early days of parent hood. And we cannot thank her enough on how much we have learnt and how prepared we now feel for when our little boy makes his arrival! Kat is so reassuring and she will answer any questions your unsure about. When doing the classes online it was so relaxing and enjoyable as we had a laugh with her during it all which was really nice as you could see what she was teaching us she loves to do which made us enjoy the classes even more! We cannot thank Kat enough for all her help! 100% recommend you will not be disappointed."

What My Colleagues Say...

"Having Kat is like winning the birthing jackpot"

As a midwife who has worked along side Kat, I can vouch for the excellent support she offers to women. She has a vast amount of breastfeeding and birth knowledge and always puts the women in her care at the heart of everything she does. She will support women’s choices and ensure that those choices are fully informed. She always goes that extra mile. ️

I have worked with Kat for many years. As a midwife I know how important it is for women and their families to have the right support around them when preparing for birth, birthing, and navigating life as a new parent .Kat is kind and compassionate and very passionate about supporting women and their families. Lovely to see a page here showcasing her work.

Kat is such a warm, personable and passionate birth worker; she is committed to providing good information to parents to support instinctive decision-making throughout the childbearing journey

I’ve worked with Kat assisting me at many births and she has been a real asset to the birthing team! Kat has a lovely ability to instantly build relationships with families and put them at ease. Anyone who is lucky enough to have Kat supporting them during their birth, will truly feel like they’ve won the birthing jackpot!

Kat has the compassion, knowledge and experience to walk beside you during your pregnancy, birth and postnatal adventures.
