Mama Magic Kat, The 5-Star Rated Doula Supporting Families Across Cheshire.

All About Doula Kat, Northwich parenting supporter.

A Very Awesome Mama

Hi I'm Kat, I've been married to my lovely husband Dexter for 19 years and we have 3 children Isaac 18, Annabelle 15 and Jacob 8. I am blessed to be able to watch these little humans grow ( that doesn't mean I haven't found parenting hard going at times). We also have a chilled little Cavachon dog, a grumpy cat and 4 Hens. I became an independent Doula to add to my skillset in addition to my early years and birth worker experience and skills.

My workshops are designed to be a "breath of fresh air" fun, highly informative, and grounded in reality. No judgment, just honest support and plenty of time for every question you’ve been wondering about.

"My aim is to leave you feeling empowered, confident, and ready to enjoy those precious first weeks."

Birth Skills Workshop

Information. Educate. Choice

Are you looking to bridge the gap between "knowing the facts" and "feeling prepared"?

Join us for an immersive Birth Skills Workshop designed to transform your mindset and equip your body. With over 20 years of combined professional experience and our own personal journeys as mothers we bring you a workshop rooted in real world wisdom, evidence based tools, and the physical flow of yoga.

Why Choose This Workshop?

Standard NHS and NCT classes provide a great foundation, but often leave parents wondering, "What do I actually DO when labour starts?" Our workshop aims to fill those gaps by focusing on the practical skills of birthing.

  • Real-Life Tips & Tools: We cut through the noise to give you what actually works in the birth room, regardless of your chosen birth path.

  • Active Partner Involvement: We don't just teach the birthing person; we turn partners into confident, hands-on birth advocates who know exactly how to support you.

  • Physical Conditioning: Drawing on Breathing Space Yoga expertise, we practice movement and breathwork that helps your baby find the optimal position and helps you manage intensity.

  • Group Relaxation: Experience the power of guided relaxation to lower stress hormones and build mental resilience.

What’s Included:

  • Expert Guidance: Led by professionals with decades of experience in birth and movement.

  • Comprehensive Support: Your journey doesn’t end when the workshop does. We include follow-up support to answer questions as your due date approaches.

Postnatal Support Visits.

Support. Listen. Care

I know just how challenging the early days can be. I offer support to help with baby care, breastfeeding (BFSW/BFC), sleep, parent coaching and some extra mothers help. Getting breastfeeding off to the best start can be changeling, my support can really help you find your own way. As well as my child care background & skills I carry up to date paediatric first aid. I'm not the best cook, but I'm fantastic with siblings & pets.

Birth debrief and emotional support can also be valuable at this time. Sometimes just having a non judgemental ear over a cup of tea is needed.

Post birth support can be a mix of face to face and online/phone. Please contact me for more information and to talk about the support you need.

What's app support packages are £15 a week.

Price hourly Ad hoc rate : £29.00

I also offer early years parenting coaching.

"She is so knowledgeable and passionate about breastfeeding and has helped us to overcome the initial issues that we faced, enabling me to exclusively breastfeed. "

Package price can be made to suit your needs. The shorted package I've done is one visit, the longest is 2.5 years!

Night time doula / maternity nanny support - £35.00Ph

"I would highly recommend Kat to any new/expectant mother as she was an invaluable resource to us!"

"I picked Kat to be my Doula because she's incredibly friendly ,knowledgeable and calming. I have complete trust in her and she has a fantastic understanding of the emotions involved in becoming a mum."

Sally-Ann

"Having someone there to share the highs and lows with who could provide evidence and knowledgable support for anything that cropped up. During labour, having someone to be there to help with comfort measures and who knew my birth plan inside out was so valuable. After transferring to hospital, knowing that Kat was able to stay behind to make sure the house was tidy and previously agreed tasks such as changing my bedding helped for when we came home"

Emma

"Kat offers care and support like no other. She is approachable, warm and unbelievably knowledgeable and experienced in all things pregnancy, birth and the early years. Turn to Kat before you turn to Google. I’d recommend her, for any of her services, without hesitation. She makes a ruddy good brew too!

On the day of the birth itself you were just brilliant."

"I can’t recommend Kat enough!! Me an my partner had two private sessions with Kat on getting prepared for labour and the early days of parent hood. And we cannot thank her enough on how much we have learnt and how prepared we now feel for when our little boy makes his arrival! Kat is so reassuring and she will answer any questions your unsure about. When doing the classes online it was so relaxing and enjoyable as we had a laugh with her during it all which was really nice as you could see what she was teaching us she loves to do which made us enjoy the classes even more! We cannot thank Kat enough for all her help! 100% recommend you will not be disappointed."

What My Colleagues Say...

"Having Kat is like winning the birthing jackpot"

As a midwife who has worked along side Kat, I can vouch for the excellent support she offers to women. She has a vast amount of breastfeeding and birth knowledge and always puts the women in her care at the heart of everything she does. She will support women’s choices and ensure that those choices are fully informed. She always goes that extra mile. ️

I have worked with Kat for many years. As a midwife I know how important it is for women and their families to have the right support around them when preparing for birth, birthing, and navigating life as a new parent .Kat is kind and compassionate and very passionate about supporting women and their families. Lovely to see a page here showcasing her work.

Kat is such a warm, personable and passionate birth worker; she is committed to providing good information to parents to support instinctive decision-making throughout the childbearing journey

I’ve worked with Kat assisting me at many births and she has been a real asset to the birthing team! Kat has a lovely ability to instantly build relationships with families and put them at ease. Anyone who is lucky enough to have Kat supporting them during their birth, will truly feel like they’ve won the birthing jackpot!
